This article derives from section of a greater analyze on sexual violence prevention in instructor instruction that analyses the narratives of fifteen trainer candidates in an Ontario university. It begins by furnishing a rationale for the study, which engages emerging instructors as important stakeholders in avoidance schooling. Narrative inquiry was done to have an understanding of the experiences of teacher candidates who have been troubled by the programme’s deficiency of schooling and coaching on sexuality education and learning and sexual violence avoidance. Trainer candidates mirrored that their first education and learning about consent and sexual violence transpired in a postsecondary alternatively than an elementary or secondary faculty context. As part of the trainer certification programme, contributors felt entitled to find out about sexuality schooling methodologies and sexual violence avoidance training. As rising academics, they expressed the desire to know how to educate young people today about sex and consent, balanced interactions, boundaries, and the sociopolitical contexts of sexual violence, as perfectly as how to sensitively respond to disclosure.
